Daily Deviation

Given 2007-10-25

This is an exquisite photograph. Intriguing the onlooker beyond what is there. The lighting and shadows bring an intense depth to this image to accentuate the feeling of desolation. One of the most striking images I have seen to date. The title is ... perfection... silverspoon by ~Kreuzweg (Featured by `shell4art)

My German is horrible, aber ich liebe es! It creeps me out - especially the doll in the corner - but in a good way. The lighting is very effective.

Maybe I got too much fantasy, but I sortof came up with a story for this image.

The boy is lost and confused, finally through the thick fog he's spotting a weak lightsource. He walks towards it. As he's approaching he realize the light comes from a window. He recognize the house, it's his home. He runs towards the familiar door and opens it.

Now he stand there, confused, bleak, looking at the empty house were he and his parents once lived.

If ever there was a photo that deserved the recognition of a daily deviation, this is it.
I'm really glad that it's getting the attention it so deserves.

I really like the sheer weight of this, looking at it just makes it hard to breathe. Kudos to you for this truely artistic photograph.

This picture is great -- so creepy... I could never remain in a room like that, if I was ever to find myself there. I'd run away. :D

Seriously though, this is very, very well done -- the shadows are fantastic, and the way the doll's head is "cut off" by the shadow in the corner... :love:

Da musst ich doch dann glatt selbst gucken. Was für eine wunderschöne Rückmeldung nach der frustrierenden zu-wenig-Beachtung. Gratulation! (Sogar schon 35.)

So macht's doch doppelt Spaß. Ich werd den heilig, staubigen Hallen die Teiladelung ausrichten.
